Accessibility
Declaration / Status June 2025
Ketschauer Hof GmbH has worked hard to make its website accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSG) and EU Directive 2019/882 on accessibility requirements for products and services.
Our aim is to provide you with convenient and comfortable access to all information relating to your stay with us.
We paid particular attention to the following aspects:
- clear and legible fonts and sufficient contrast between text and background.
- Heading structure (e.g. use of H1, H2, H3) that enables a logical organization of the content.
- Texts can be easily enlarged or reduced in all common browsers
- Keyboard focus: When operating the website using only the Tab key or other keyboard commands, a clearly visible, 3 pixel thick frame in bright blue appears around the active element (link, button, form field, etc.). This focus ring clearly marks the position during use and disappears automatically when the element is exited. The frame remains visible even if the page content is enlarged or reduced in size using the browser zoom. It therefore complies with the current WCAG specifications (2.4.7 & 2.4.11).
- Alternative texts for images so that screen readers can describe the images.
- Navigation options also via keyboard, without mouse.
- Mobile optimization so that the website is easy to use on different devices.
You can READ the accessibility statement specifically for DialogShift Chat-Widget HERE.
Non-accessible content:
- The embedded Google Maps map cannot be fully operated using the keyboard.
- Embedded (reservation) tools such as onepagebooking, OpenTable, voucherbooking… may use components over whose accessibility we unfortunately have no influence.
These improvements to our website represent significant steps in terms of “accessibility”, but are by no means definitive. Accessibility concerns a significant and diverse group of users whose needs and concerns we take seriously. We are committed to continuously developing the aspect of accessibility and ensuring that our website remains equally accessible, “visible” and usable for all users in the long term.
