Who we are

The Hotel Ketschauer Hof sees itself as a pleasure resort and is part of Ketschauer Hof GmbH.
Ketschauer Hof GmbH owns a total of two wonderful hotels, namely the Hotel Ketschauer Hof – truly a gem in the middle of the historic town center of Deidesheim and not far from the vineyards – and the Hotel Kaisergarten, primarily a conference hotel in a central location.
But that’s not all. The overall ensemble also includes four restaurants,
which could hardly be more different in nature:
the restaurant 1718 with French cuisine,
the restaurant L.A. Jordan, awarded the second Michelin star in 2023,
the restaurant RIVA with Mediterranean cuisine & steaks
and last but not least the restaurant Sushi B.

What characterises us...

The history of the Ketschauer Hof estate goes back to the Middle Ages. To this day, it continues to characterise the self-image of the grown pleasure resort. The most important pivotal point dates back to 1718 and was founded by Peter Jordan, the founder of today’s Privy Councillor Dr. von Bassermann-Jordan winery. The takeover of the winery by his son Andreas Jordan and the subsequent course of history have created a close bond between the Ketschauer Hof and its three top-class sister wineries. The proximity is not only historical, but also accessibility: the wineries are located on the doorstep of the Ketschauer Hof.

They have always been characterised by enjoyment and wine, by the reputation and success of their sister wineries as well as by the charm of the beautiful Palatinate and the small town of Deidesheim in particular…

Which values we live

Pleasure and wine – these were the foundations that were once laid. It is therefore no wonder that this cultural asset is continued in the overall ensemble of Ketschauer Hof GmbH.
We look back on our history with humility and respect. Full of appreciation for the quality that has grown, for the success that has been achieved. It is now up to us to treat our history with care, to preserve the estate, to live these values lovingly and to pass them on.

Sustainability is important to us

Our company stands for hospitality, quality and sustainability. We focus on the responsible use of natural resources and actively promote environmental awareness through the use of environmentally friendly technologies and measures to protect biodiversity. We achieve this by using hydroelectric power, LED lighting, green roofs and preserving old trees in our park where possible.

Our purchasing is based on environmentally friendly and sustainable criteria – from food and beverages to capital and consumer goods. We attach great importance to regional and fair products.

As part of society, we take responsibility for the bigger picture by supporting social and sustainable initiatives in our region. For example, our charitable work goes to the women’s shelter in Neustadt and the “Sternentaler” children’s hospice in Dudenhofen. Our business activities are based on a continuous improvement process in order to strengthen our market position, ensure quality and remain successful in the long term.
