Breakfast – lovingly prepared

In the historic sandstone vaults in the souterrain, the breakfast team welcomes our hotel guests every morning with a smile.  The special vaulted architecture with its windows overlooking the adjacent alleyways of the old town has its own special historical charm and always makes guests pause and marvel.

The cozy courtyard terrace is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast  summer. Idyllically situated in the shade of the trees, every guest will find his or her favorite seat here.

Breakfast at the Ketschauer Hof is equally popular with loyal regular guests and first-time visitors who are just getting to know the boutique hotel. All the fine delicacies can be ordered individually à la carte.

Eggs and pastries in all variations are freshly prepared by our breakfast chef de cuisine and served à la minute. We attach great importance to regional products from the Palatinate: sausage specialties from the legendary Hambel butcher’s shop in Wachenheim or baked goods from the Liebenstein bakery in Neustadt can be found on the menu.

It is not unusual for our guests to be spontaneously surprised with a greeting from the kitchen. Namely when our own figs, peaches or kumquats are harvested and freshly prepared for delicious jams or desserts. Or, when during the christmas season, a dough is quickly stirred from nuts and spices and placed on the baking tray in order to  add the cookie lovingly  to the ordered cup of coffee.

“A breakfast with heart!” wrote one guest in our guestbook.

…as a career changer, she was coming to us from a family-run winery. Her long year experience there, her organizational skills, knack for people and good teamwork have fitted perfectly to our hotel right from the beginning. Since 2022 we have a breakfast manager with us who does everything she can to spoil our guests with an exclusive breakfast.

Every monring i look forward to my job, to our guests and to our familial team. We have a good time togehter - with guests and colleagues alike. Doing that way, everyone is motivaded in my team!

…started with us after her parental leave in spring 2023. Always a smile for the guests, discreet, level-headed and charming.

After her job at breakfast, she works as a “full-blooded mom” to two adorable boys.

The working hours at breakfast are ideal for me and my family. I can be there for my boys from midday. The breakfast team made it easy for me to get started here, and our clientele is very pleasant.

After graduating from high school, a six-month trip is on the agenda before continuing with his studies.
