L. A. Jordan Edition – one vision, one wine.

2021 was a special year – for L. A. Jordan and for Rieslings in the Palatinate. The exceptionally cool summer gave the Palatinate wines of that vintage an impressive precision, elegance and freshness – characteristics that make Rieslings truly shine.

In the same year, head sommelier Stephan Nitzsche also began his journey at L. A. Jordan. And a vision began to germinate within him: a house wine that reflects the gourmet restaurant’s signature style, standards and personality.

Together with the cellar master team of our sister winery, Geh. Rat Dr. von Bassermann-Jordan, we have created a wine that combines origin, finesse and the standards of two great houses.

The sommelier and cellar master chose the renowned “304” as the basis – a selection of the best Forster vineyards. Specifically, 95% Riesling Forster Ungeheuer makes up the L. A. Jordan Edition. And the remaining 5% of the exclusive cuvée? remain the secret of our sommelier.

This wine was accompanied and refined with the greatest care over a period of five years. The long storage on the lees, careful barrel ageing and subsequent resting time in the bottle give it an impressive depth, fine minerality and that noble balance that makes great Rieslings timeless.
